Meet the Muse: Sarah Chuck

I first met Sarah Chuck when she came to Bryr to model for the launch of the monochrome platform. Since then, she's modeled for us multiple times. It wasn't until we met her on the construction site of one of her jobs that I learned what a powerhouse of talent she is.

What you do: Interior designer

Can you tell us a little bit about your journey becoming an interior designer? How did you get into it?

My partner is a real estate broker so I kind of fell into home staging and then interiors. 

What's your favorite thing about creating interior spaces for people?

Pushing people out of their comfort zones design-wise and seeing how much they love my vision in the end.

Do you have any exciting projects on the horizon you want to share with us?

I’m working on an SF home that we gutted and remodeled. The bones are very SF craftsman so I made sure to bridge the old and new in the design.

How would you describe your personal style and how has it evolved in the last 3 years?

Because of the pandemic and spending so much time at home during that time, silhouettes have gotten looser, more oversized, and comfier. And sewing, dyeing and upcycling my own clothes has allowed me to experiment with fabric, fit and color.

What are you reading these days? Any good summer read recs?

I read Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin over the summer and that was a fun read! But honestly, I watch a lot of K dramas in my free time.

Which Bryr clogs do you have and which are your favorite(s)?

I have the Chonk in moto black, Gabe in cedar, the Maya block heel in bone, the Norma in clay and Stella platforms in fennel. I love the Maya because they coordinate with all my socks!
