PRODUCTION MANAGER (Full Time)

We are looking for the right person to help us take Bryr to the next level. As our production manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our production department, and will manage all areas of the department. You will work directly with Isobel Schofield, the owner of Bryr, to help us build our tomorrow.

You must be a natural leader and possess an ability to communicate with directness, humility and empathy. We are looking for someone who values their own professionalism and growth and supports the growth of others. We are looking for a problem solver, not a problem-finder, someone who handles stress and complexity with calm confidence. We are looking for someone who loves finding ways to improve things, from fine-tuning the smallest detail to building the most efficient system.

This job is meant for you if you’re a creative, detail-oriented person who also sees and understands the big picture. Job responsibilities: As our production manager,  you will be responsible for the smooth running of the entire production department including but not limited to: supervising, managing and training employees, giving hiring input, facilities and equipment upgrades and maintenance, inventory management, product development coordination, order fulfillment and tracking, working with owner to upgrade our systems, fine-tuning our best practices, creating and supporting a safe and healthy workplace for the team, and giving input to projecting our labor needs. Our production manager works on the workshop floor with the team, and participates in actual production making. You will work in partnership with our Operations Coordinator and the business owner and designer, Isobel.

Qualifications: Candidates must have proven success as a team leader and must have led a team in manufacturing. Experience in leather (shoes, bags, etc) manufacturing prefered but not required.

Physical requirements: This position involves physical manual work, including but not limited to: standing for extended periods of time, walking, lifting, hammering and cutting.

Classification, Compensation, and Benefits:

  • Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Our core hours, Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm
  • This is a salaried position

  • Salary dependant on experience and expertise of applicant
