This weekend is the Dogpatch Holiday Sale, and so I thought I'd share with you a couple of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is growing so fast, with a new fun shop or bar opening up monthly. All these spots are within walking distance, so hop on the muni, or drive over (there's a pay lot behind our building) and get exploring!
Eats: What's the use of exploring a neighborhood if there isn't some yummy food at the end of your exploration? Here are my four favorite neighborhood spots to hit up.
Neighbor Bakehouse: Christine and Greg are two of my favorite people, and they also happen to be two of the most talented bakers in the country. I always recommend grabbing a sweet AND savory pastry when visting.
Piccino: When the team wants a delicious pasta, we head to Piccino. One of the first restaurants opened in the neighborhood by our friend, Sher, we love it there!
Aina: New kid on the block, serving absolutely delicious Hawaiian food. The line is around the block for brunch.
Shop for gifts: We have a growing numbers of little shops to choose from in the hood.
Industrious Life: I love this little shop filled with special things.
Workshop Residence: One of the really cool spaces in the city supporting artists and makers.
Spicer: Local cork-bag maker, with a really big selection of gift-able items.
Rickshaw bags: When they say, "Bags made fresh daily" they really mean it. Peak into the wareshouse space behind the shop and see how they make their bags.
Museums/Galleries: Get some culture!
Museum of Art and Design: Ready to take a break and get some culture? Pop into the SFMAD.
Minnesota Street Project: We're so proud to have one of SF's best gallery and studio spaces just around the corner. There's so much to check out there.
Drink!: You ready for a drink, yet? Yeah, we thought so.
Dogpatch Saloon: Our favorite neightborhood bar. Not only do they make a killer cocktail, but there a always a few neighborhood dogs hanging about.
Smokestack/Magnolia Brewery: Ready for some meat and a beer. Smokestack is your place.
The Ramp: This place has been around for years and has one of the best views in the city.
